Love is in the air and you know that means it’s time for some Valentines Makeup Ideas to help you look your best for that special day. Whether you have a special someone in your life or are single and ready to mingle, creating the perfect Valentines makeup look will help you to feel your best.
Here are a few makeup ideas to inspire your creative side whether you’re looking for something soft, feminine and romantic, sultry and seductive or high drama sexy… there’s something to be discovered.
Romantic – Gentle pinks and blooming roses are the choice colors for a soft romantic makeup look. The feeling should be fuzzy soft, delicate blossoms and caressing silk. Try a sheer or semi sheer rosy pink lip balm, lip stain or lip gloss for a delicate youthful pouty mouth. Add a warm rose or baby pink blushing gel to your cheeks and light taupe, peach or dusty rose shadow to your eye lids. Finish the look with sable brown mascara on curled natural eyelashes and a hint of highlighter at the inner corners of the eyes. This will give you a blushing youthful gentleness that oozes romantic desires. Valentines Makeup Ideas Make-up school LA
Sultry – Think shades of burgundy, brown, maroon, garnet and oxblood for a sultry aura. This look is a thick mix of romance and sexy sizzle with matte opaque vamp lips in a dark shade of red/brown. Next, apply a touch of terra cotta or bronzer to your cheekbones for some warmth. Deepen your gaze with chocolate, mahogany or mink eyeshadow and matching cat-eye eyeliner. If the cat-eye isn’t for you or you aren’t very adept at creating it then blending the eyeliner will give you an equally stunning smoky eye look. To finish the sultry look, you can apply false butterfly eyelashes or go natural and coat them with black/brown or black mascara. sultry makeup look from make-up school LA
Sexy – If you’re the bold, daring glamorous type or just want to stir things up then the sexy makeup look may be for you. The foremost important part of this look is the blazing hot red lipstick. If you don’t already have a go-to red lip color then you may have to sample a few different ones to find the right shade for your exact skin tone. Another option is to create your own red lipstick by mixing reds together or adding a touch of pink or brown with the right undertones to a base red color. To keep your lipstick from feathering use a good lipliner to draw on perfectly shaped lips and use a lip brush to apply the lip color. For your eyes, go with a charcoal smoky eye look or a precise stripe of black liquid liner along the top eyelid. Because this look is bold with harsh lines it’s best not to use any blush but you can add a bit of highlighter to your cheekbones, brow bone and just along the very edge of your cupid’s bow.
